Hindustan Shipyard Ltd Recruitment 2013-14 for Experienced and Management Trainee Posts

The Hindustan Shipyard Ltd (HSL), Visakhapatnam was set up in the year 1941 by the Scindia Steam Navigation Company. The Shipyard was partially taken over by Govt. of India in 1952, and HSL became a fully Govt. of India owned enterprise in July 1961. Presently, this is the largest public sector shipyard in the country and the 1st yard to obtain ISO 9001-2000 accreditation. Recently, the yard has obtained certificate of approval of ISO 9001-2008 Certification from IRQS. Since inception, the yard has delivered 169 vessels of various types and repaired over 1900 vessels.

With the recent Notification from the Shipyard, there is an announcement for induction of various Experienced and Management Trainee positions, through its establishments in the state of Andhra Pradesh.

The details of the eligibility criteria and the other essentials for application are detailed as under.

Pay Scale Provisions:

  • General Manager (E-7): The selected applicants will be eligible for an initial Pay Scale of Rs.43200 – Rs.66000 in IDA pattern
  • Dy. General Manager (E-6): The selected applicants will be eligible for an initial Pay Scale of Rs.36600 – Rs.62000 in IDA pattern
  • Chief Manager: The selected applicants will be eligible for an initial Pay Scale of Rs.32900 – Rs.58000 in IDA pattern
  • Manager: The selected applicants will be eligible for an initial Pay Scale of Rs.29100 – Rs.54500 in IDA pattern
  • Dy. Manager (E3): The selected applicants will be eligible for an initial Pay Scale of Rs.24900 – Rs.50500 in IDA pattern
  • Sr. Medical Officer (E2): The selected applicants will be eligible for an initial Pay Scale of Rs.20600 – Rs.46500 in IDA pattern
  • Medical Officer (E1): The selected applicants will be eligible for an initial Pay Scale of Rs.16400 – Rs.40500 in IDA pattern
  • Management Trainee: The selected applicants will be eligible for a consolidated stipend of Rs.15000 per month during their training period.

Age Criteria:

  • General Manager: Maximum age of 50 years
  • Dy. General Manager: Maximum age of 48 years
  • Chief Manager: Maximum age of 45 years
  • Manager: Maximum age of 42 years
  • Dy. Manager (E3): Maximum age of 40 years
  • Sr. Medical Officer (E2): Maximum age of 35 years
  • Medical Officer (E1): Maximum age of 30 years
  • Management Trainee: Maximum age of 25 years
  • However, for Candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ BC/ PWD will enjoy relaxation in accordance with the norms

Academic Eligibility Norms:

  • General Manager (Tech): The candidates should have completed Bachelors degree in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Naval Architecture/ Industrial Engineering or equivalent with minimum 55% marks and at least have 20 years of post qualification experience. MBA and PG candidates will be preferred.
  • General Manager (Design): The candidates should have completed Bachelors degree in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Civil – with Post Graduate Degree/ Diploma in Naval Architecture or equivalent with minimum 55% marks and at least have 20 years of post qualification experience. MBA candidates will be preferred.
  • General Manager (Per & Admn): The candidates should have completed Graduate in any discipline with Post Graduate Degree/ Two year Post Graduate Diploma in Labor & Social Welfare or Labor studies or PM & IR or HR Management or MBA with Personnel Management with minimum 50% marks and at least have 20 years of post qualification experience. Degree in Law will be preferred.
  • Dy. General Manager (Fin): The candidates should have completed Graduation with a pass in the Final examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India/ Institute of Cost & Works Accounts of India / SAS and should have at least 16 years of experience
  • Dy. General Manager (Tech): The candidates should have completed Bachelors degree in Mechanical/ Marine Engg/ Electrical Engg/ Naval Architecture with minimum 55% marks and at least have 16 years of post qualification experience. MBA candidates will be preferred
  • Dy. General Manager (Submarine Tech): The candidates should have completed Bachelors degree in Electrical/ Mechanical/ Electronics with minimum 55% marks and at least have 16 years of post qualification experience.
  • Chief Manager: The candidates should have completed Bachelors degree in Mechanical/Marine Engineering/ Electrical Engineering/ Naval Architecture with minimum 55% marks and at least have 15 years of post qualification experience.
  • Manager (Per & Admn): The candidates should have completed Graduate in any discipline with Post Graduate Degree/ Two year Post Graduate Diploma in Labor & Social Welfare or Labor studies or PM & IR or HR Management or MBA with Personnel Management with minimum 50% marks and at least have 12 years of post qualification experience. Degree in Law will be preferred.
  • Medical Officer as Dy. Manager (E3)/ Sr. Medical Officer (E2)/ Medical Officer (E1): The candidates should have completed MBBS Degree and registered with Indian Medical Council. The experience will vary as per the profile of recruitment its 7 years for Dy Managers/ 4 years for Sr. Med. Officer and 1 year for Medical Officer posts
  • Management Trainee (Tech): The candidates should have completed Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in the branches of Marine Engineering/ EEE/ Naval Architecture with at least 60% marks
  • Management Trainee (HR): The candidates should have completed Bachelor’s Degree in any branches and Two years full time Post Graduate Degree or Diploma or Three years part-time Post Graduate Diploma in HRM or MBA with Specialization in HR with at least 60% marks
  • Management Trainee (Finance): The candidates should have completed Bachelor’s Degree in any branches and a pass in the final examination of the institute of Chartered Accountants of India/ Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India

For All Other Posts: Rs. 100/-
