Hindustan Paper Corporation Recruitment 2013 for Apprentice Trainee (Graduate Engineers/ Diploma/ Vocational)
Hindustan Paper Corporation (HPC) is an extended arm of the Union Government to intensify the movement for literacy through the growth of the paper industry. Today it is one of the largest manufacturers of paper and newsprint in South East Asia. Simultaneously, HPC has been playing a dominant role in the socio-economic development of the North-East region.
With its recent announcement, the company opens a challenging opportunity for young, enthusiastic and energetic individuals to get trained up as Apprentice Trainee under the Apprentices Act 1961 in various disciplines.
The category-wise vacancies and requisite criteria for selection are as indicated below:

Special Note:
No Engineering Graduate or Diploma holder or Vocational Certificate holder who had training or job experience for a period of one year or more, after the attainment of the required qualifications shall be eligible for being engaged as an apprentice.

Academic Requirements:
- Category – I : Engineering Graduate Apprentices: The Candidates should have passed qualifying Degree examinations in Engineering/ Technology to be eligible to apply for these posts
- Category – II: Engineering Diploma Apprentices: The Candidates should have passed qualifying Engineering Diploma examinations in concerned branches of Engineering to be eligible to apply for these posts
- Category – III: Technician (Vocational) Apprentices: The Candidates should have passed a Certificate in vocational course involving two years of study after the completion of the secondary stage of school education.
Stipendiary Provisions:
- Category – I : Engineering Graduate Apprentices: The Candidates will be offered a stipend of Rs.3560 per month till the Training Period of 1 year
- Category – II: Engineering Diploma Apprentices: The Candidates will be offered a stipend of Rs.2350 per month till the Training Period of 1 year
- Category – III: Technician (Vocational) Apprentices: The Candidates will be offered a stipend of Rs.1970 per month till the Training Period of 1 year
Age Limit:
- The candidates must be within a maximum age of 30 years as on 01-Jan-2014
- However, there will be relaxation in upper age limit for reserved category of candidates (SC/ST/PWD/OBC etc.)
Mode of Selection:
- Selection will be done through personal interview/ Written test as per the discretion of HPC
Probation Period and Training:
- The candidates selected for the positions will undergo an Apprentice Training for a period of 1 year from the date of joining
