Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission, the apex authority for all public sector recruitments for the state of Himachal Pradesh is inviting Online Recruitment Applications (ORA) from desirous and eligible candidates for the class-I Gazetted posts of Professors and Assistant Professors in the Department of Medical Education, Himachal Pradesh. The last date for filling up application is 16-April-2013 till 11.59 PM.

14. Assistant Professor (Nephrology) – 01 Post (UR) – Education – DM Nephrology 2/3 years course as recognized by the MCI after MD Medicine, or MBBS and 5 years direct course leading to DM Nephrology
15. Assistant Professor (Cardiology) – 01 Post (UR) – Education – DM Cardiology 2/3 years course as recognized by the MCI after MD Medicine, or MBBS and 5 years direct course leading to DM Cardiology

NOTE:

1. All candidates must have at least 3 years teaching experience as Lecturer/ Registrar/ Demonstrator/ Resident after doing post-graduation in the concerned speciality in any recognized Medical College
2. All candidates who have done Two/ three years degree course while doing DM/ MCh., that experience will be counted as teaching experience for the purpose of appointment as Assistant Professor (Super Specialty)
3. All candidates must have knowledge of customs/ manners and dialects of Himachal Pradesh (Preferred)
4. All candidates must have done Publication of research papers in Index journals (Preferred)
5. Age: A candidate must not have crossed 45 years of age to be eligible to apply
6. Pay Scale: The applicants getting selected for these positions will receive remuneration in the scale of Rs.37400- Rs.67000 with Grade pay of Rs.8900

Item No-II (A) — Professors:

1. Professor (Periodontology): 01 Post (UR)
2. Professor (Oral Medicine & Radiology): 01 Post (UR)
3. Professor (Community Dentistry): 01 Post (UR)

Note:

• Education: A recognized BDS Degree from the Indian University or an equivalent qualification and having recognized Post-Graduation Degree or its equivalent in the concerned speciality and possess at least 5 years teaching experience as Reader/ Assistant Professor (Dentistry) in a Dental College recognized by Dental Council of India after doing post graduation in the concerned speciality
• Must have Knowledge of customs, manners and dialects of H.P.
• Age: A candidate must not have crossed the max age of 45 years
• Pay Scale:  The applicants getting selected for these positions will receive remuneration in the scale of Rs.37400- Rs.67000 with Grade pay of Rs.10000

Item No-II (B) – Assistant Professors:

1. Assistant Professor (Prosthodontics): 01 Post (UR)
2. Assistant Professor (Orthodontics): 01 Post (UR)

Note:

• Education: A BDS Degree of an Indian University or an equivalent qualification with Post-Graduate qualification/ Diploma of National Board in the subject and with 3 years teaching experience after Post Graduation
• Must have Knowledge of customs, manners and dialects of H.P.
• Age: A candidate must not have crossed the max age of 45 years
• Pay Scale:  The applicants getting selected for these positions will receive remuneration in the scale of Rs.37400- Rs.67000 with Grade pay of Rs.8900

Application Fee:

• Examination fee for General category (including General category PWD candidates such as Orthopedically Handicapped and Hearing impaired) : Rs.250
• For SC/ST candidates: Rs.63
• Candidates from other states irrespective of their reservation category: Rs.250
• No fee is required for the Ex-Servicemen category or Visually handicapped category of candidates from Himachal Pradesh

Mode of Payment:

• The candidates can deposit the requisite fee at any branch of Punjab National Bank through an e-Challan generated through the website of the Commission, i.e. www.hp.gov.in/hppsc.

Mode of Selection:

• Final selection of a candidate will be made solely on the basis of his/her performance in the Main Examination, and Viva-voice on merit basis
• For a candidate to be selected for Main Examination has to undergo a Screening Test, which will be of Objective Type in nature (if required)
• The eligibility of candidate(s) called for the interview will be determined on the basis of their performance in the Main Examination only.
• The candidates have to produce their original documents on the day of interview.
