HEC (Heavy Engineering Corporation Limited) was established as a Government of India Enterprise, in the year 1958 as one of the largest Integrated Engineering Complex in India. It manufactures and supplies capital equipment & machineries and renders project execution required for core sector industries. It has complete manufacturing set up starting from casting & forging, fabrication, machining, assembly and testing – all at one location backed by a strong design – engineering and technology team.
The FFP (Foundry & Forging Plant) of HEC is the largest foundry and forging complex in India and one of the largest of its kind in the world. The HMTP (Heavy Machine Tool Plant) of HEC is established in collaboration with Czechoslovakia, and is the most modern and sophisticated of its kind in the country which produces machine tools in heavier ranges. The HEC is offering excellence in casting & forging, fabrication, machining, assembly and testing in all quarters. HEC is established in Ranchi, the state capital of Jharkhand.
With the recent announcement, the HEC is inviting applications from dedicated and committed professionals with a high degree of initiative and intuitive forward thinking for various posts of Senior Managers, Managers and Deputy Managers in its establishment.

Note:
- Appropriate reservation will be applicable for candidates as per norms.
- Internal candidates who have completed 4 years of service in immediate lower grade and fulfil conditions of requisite qualification, experience and age etc., are eligible to apply.
Scale of Pay:
- Senior Manager (Tech/HR/Fin/law): The candidates selected for these positions will receive remuneration in the Grade of E-5 at the rate of Rs.32900 -Rs.58000.
- Manager (Tech/HR/Fin/law/Security): The candidates selected for these positions will receive remuneration in the Grade of E-4 at the rate of Rs.29100 -Rs.54500.
- Deputy Manager (Tech/HR/Fin): The candidates selected for these positions will receive remuneration in the Grade of E-3 at the rate of Rs.24900 -Rs.50500.
- Other perks and allowances will be applicable as per HEC norms.
Essential Educational Qualification/ Experience:
- For Technical Posts (Sr. Manager/ Manager/ Dy. Manager): The candidates should have completed full-time Bachelors Degree Course in the respective discipline of Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute with at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST) or equivalent CGPA. They must have Specialization in Research and product Development(Design), Production Planning and Control, Quality Control and Assurance, Material Management/Purchase, Marketing, Production, Manufacturing, Foundry Forge, Maintenance (Mechanical/Electrical), Industrial Engineering, Project – Design, Erection & Commissioning. And should preferably have experience in the specialization areas.
- For HR (Sr. Manager/ Manager/ Dy. Manager): The candidates should have completed full-time Bachelors Degree in any discipline and should have completed MBA in HRM or PG Diploma in Personnel Management at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST) or equivalent CGPA. Preference will be offered to candidates having Degree in Law or Post Graduate Diploma in Labour Laws. Should have knowledge of labour laws, experience in drafting personnel policies.
- For Finance (Sr. Manager/ Manager/ Dy. Manager): The candidates should have completed CA/ ICWA finals. The candidates are expected to have experience in financial accounting, budgeting, costing, statutory audit, internal audit, taxation, treasury operations, banking, project finance and project accounts.
- For Law (Sr. Manager/ Manager): The candidates should have completed a Bachelors Degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university. Post Graduate Diploma / Degree in Business Laws and Post Graduate Diploma in Management will be preferred for these posts. Should possess experience in the legal department of a large manufacturing or EPC project. Should have been a practicing advocate in the areas of business related cases in a High Court for at least 3 years.
- For Security (Manager): The candidates should have completed a Bachelors Degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Post Graduate Diploma / Degree in Security Management or Degree in Law will be preferred for these posts. Retired Permanent Commissioned or Short Service Commissioned Officer of the Army (Captain or Major) or Dy. Commandant / Asstt. Commandant from Central Police Organisations (BSF, CRPF, CISF etc.), are encouraged to apply. The candidates should preferably be a domicile of Jharkhand. Should have Experience in handling security & safety related functions, dealing with matters related to encroachment of company land and eviction of encroachers with the help of Police and Law Enforcement.
NOTE: (Minimum Post Qualification Experience):
- Senior Managers: 15 years
- Managers: 11 Years
- Deputy Managers: 07 Years
Essential Age Requirement: (As on 30-June-2014)
- Senior Managers: The candidate should not have exceeded more than 45 years age.
- Managers: The candidate should not have exceeded more than 38 years age.
- Deputy Managers: The candidate should not have exceeded more than 34 years age.
- However, relaxation in upper age limit will be applicable for reserved category of candidates as per the state government norms.

- The fees can be paid in shape of a Crossed Demand Draft in favour of “M/s Heavy Engineering Corporation Ltd.” drawn on any of the nationalized bank and payable at “Ranchi”.
- No other mode of fee payment will be accepted.
Selection Procedure:
- Selection will be done by through a Personal Interview as per the discretion of the HEC limited.
- Candidates who qualify on a merit ranking will be allowed to join respective services as per the requirements.
