Haryana PSC Recruitment June 2014 For Various Posts Of Class-I & Class-II Cadre

Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) serving as an important nodal agency for the state of Haryana extending its support in the process of selection and recruitment of Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’ cadre positions under various departments of the state. As a government functionary, this PSC is serving dedicatedly for competent selection of workforce in the higher cadre positions of the government. With a responsibility of publishing notifications, conducting selection examinations and offering final appointment on behalf of various departments, this PSC is operating along with the guidelines from the UPSC, at the central level and provides one of the most potential opportunities for adequately qualified and experienced professionals for a promising career in State Government of Haryana.

With the recent announcement, the Haryana Public Service Commission has notified for recruitment of various positions under Class-I & Class-II gazetted service through a competitive selection examination.

The details of the requirements and the eligibility conditions of application are as mentioned underneath:

Important Dates:

  • Date of Publication of Notification: 13-June-2014
  • Last date for submission of Online Application: 07-July-2014
  • Closing date for deposit of fee in State Bank of Patiala: 07-July-2014 till 4:00 PM
  • Closing date for receipt of final application at PSC Office along with required documents: 18-July-2014 till 5 PM
  • Closing date for receipt of final applications from far-flung areas: 25-July-2014 till 5 PM

NOTE: For certain posts candidates are not required to send hard copy of their online application form or any other documents to the Commission

  • Assistant District Attorneys in Administration of Justice Department, Haryana:
  • 99 Posts (UR-57, SC-19, BC-10, SBC-04, EBP(GC)-04, Ex-SM-05)
  • Editor (Class-II) in Labour, Department, Haryana: 01 Post (UR)
  • Haryana Civil Medical Services (HCMS) Group ‘A’ in Health Department: 23 Posts (UR-13, SC-04, BC-02, Ex-SM-03, PH-01)
  • Scientist ‘C’ (Group-A) in Haryana State pollution Control Board, Environment Department, Haryana: 01 Post (UR)
  • Assistant Engineer (Electrical) in Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited: 01 Post (PH)
  • Assistant Town Planner Group A, in Town & Country Planning Department, Haryana: 15 Posts (UR-09, SC-03, BC-02, Ex-SM-01)

Scale of Pay:

  • Assistant District Attorney: The candidates selected for these positions will receive remuneration in the Scale of PB-II at the rate of Rs.9300-Rs.34800 with Grade Pay of Rs.4600 with special pay of Rs.200 per month.
  • Editor (Class-II): The candidates selected for these positions will receive remuneration in the Scale of PB-II at the rate of Rs.9300-Rs.34800 with Grade Pay of Rs.4200 per month.
  • Haryana Civil Medical Services (HCMS): The candidates selected for these positions will receive remuneration in the Scale of PB-III at the rate of Rs.15600-Rs.39100 with Grade Pay of Rs.7600 per month.
  • Scientist ‘C’ (Group-A): The candidates selected for these positions will receive remuneration in the Scale of PB-III at the rate of Rs.15600-Rs.39100 with Grade Pay of Rs.6000 per month.
  • Assistant Engineer (Electrical): The candidates selected for these positions will receive remuneration in the Scale of PB-II at the rate of Rs.9300-Rs.34800 with Grade Pay of Rs.5400 per month or equivalent pay grade.
  • Assistant Town Planner: The candidates selected for these positions will receive remuneration in the Scale of PB-III at the rate of Rs.15600-Rs.39100 with Grade Pay of Rs.5400 per month.

NOTE: Other allowances and perks will be applicable for these selected candidates as per the state government norms.

Essential Educational Qualification With Experience (if any):

  • Assistant District Attorney: The candidates must have obtained Degree of Bachelor of Laws (Professional) from a professional institute/ university. He/She must have been enrolled as an Advocate in the State Bar Council. He/ she must have studied Hindi/ Sanskrit up to matriculation standard.
  • Editor (Class-II): The candidates must have obtained Graduate Degree from a recognized / University with Economics or Public Administration or Commerce or Sociology or Law or Labour Laws as one of the subjects. He/ She must have Degree or Diploma in Journalism. He/ she must have studied Hindi/ Sanskrit up to matriculation standard.
  • Haryana Civil Medical Services (HCMS): The candidates should have completed Post-Graduate Degree in Medicine & Surgery (MD or MS) or equivalent and should have been registered with the Haryana Medical Council or any other Medical Council recognized by the Medical Council of India. He should have knowledge of Hindi/ Sanskrit up to Matriculation standard. He/ She must have 5 years or Post-qualification experience as a Medical Practitioner.
  • Scientist ‘C’ (Group-A): The candidates should have completed Ph.D. or MSc in Chemistry/ Environmental Science  with 6 years of experience (for PhD and 8 years of experience for MSc) in a Pollution Control Board or equivalent positions. He should have knowledge of Hindi/ Sanskrit up to Matriculation standard.
  • Assistant Engineer (Electrical): The candidates should have completed Bachelors Degree in Engineering in Electrical/ Electrical & Electronics discipline with minimum 60% of marks. He should have knowledge of Hindi/ Sanskrit up to Matriculation standard.
  • Assistant Town Planner: The candidates should have completed A Post-Graduate degree in Urban & Regional Planning/ Urban Planning/ Regional Planning/ M.Tech. in Planning (Urban, Traffic and Transport, Housing, Infrastructure), or equivalent with an associate membership of the Institute of Town Planners, India. Or, The candidate should have completed B. Tech Degree in Planning along with 2 years of experience under a qualified Town Planner

Essential Age Requirement:

  • Assistant District Attorney: The candidate should not be less than 21 years and should not have obtained more than 40 years age as on 07-Jul-2014.
  • Editor (Class-II): The candidate should not be less than 21 years and should not have obtained more than 40 years age as on 07-Jul-2014.
  • Haryana Civil Medical Services (HCMS): The candidate should not be less than 32 years and should not have obtained more than 45 years age as on 07-Jul-2014.
  • Scientist ‘C’ (Group-A): The candidate should not be less than 17 years and should not have obtained more than 40 years age as on 07-Jul-2014.
  • Assistant Engineer (Electrical): The candidate should not be less than 20 years and should not have obtained more than 40 years age as on 07-Jul-2014.
  • Assistant Town Planner: The candidate should not be less than 21 years and should not have obtained more than 40 years age as on 07-Jul-2014.
  • However, relaxation in upper age limit will be applicable for reserved category of candidates as per the state government norms.

Mode of Application:           Through Online mode only

Application fees:

  • For General category candidates including Dependent son of ESM of Haryana: Rs.500 only
  • For all others: Rs.125
  • For PWD candidates: Fees Exempted
  • The fees can be remitted online during filling of applications online at the website of Haryana PSC at www.hpsc.gov.in or www.hpsconline.in

Selection Procedure:

  • Selection will be done by through the Written Exam followed by a Personal Interview as per the discretion of the HPSC.
  • Candidates who qualify on a merit ranking will be allowed to join respective services as per the Departments.
