Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Limited (GRSE Ltd.) is one of the premier Defense Shipyards enjoying the Mini Ratna, Category – I status and effectively contributing to the defense preparedness of the country by building different sophisticated and state-of-the-art warships. Recently, GRSE offers come up as a major shipyard organization in India to create an array of ships ranging from outstanding frigates to interceptor vessels. To stay up to date with global styles, the GRSE undertakes modernization associated with infrastructural facilities.

With its recent announcement, the GRSE is inviting candidature from various Engineering Disciplines to join in 47 vacancies of Assistant Managers in E-1 Cadre.  The applications are being invited through Online Mode only.

The details of the vacancies and the requisite criteria for selection are detailed as below:

Important Dates:

Essential Qualification:

  • Naval Architecture: The candidates must have completed Full Time Bachelors Degree (BE, B.Tech, Four years B.Sc. (Engineering), AMIE) or equivalent in Naval Architecture with overall 60% (aggregate of all semesters/ year or equivalent CGPA marks) for General category and 55% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD category.
  • Mechanical Engineering: The candidates must have completed Full Time Bachelors Degree (BE, B.Tech, Four years B.Sc. (Engineering), AMIE) or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering with overall 60% (aggregate of all semesters/ year or equivalent CGPA marks) for General category and 55% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD category.
  • Electrical Engineering: The candidates must have completed Full Time Bachelors Degree (BE, B.Tech, Four years B.Sc. (Engineering), AMIE) or equivalent in Electrical Engineering with overall 60% (aggregate of all semesters/ year or equivalent CGPA marks) for General category and 55% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD category.
  • Electronics Engineering: The candidates must have completed Full Time Bachelors Degree (BE, B.Tech, Four years B.Sc. (Engineering), AMIE) or equivalent in Electronics Engineering with overall 60% (aggregate of all semesters/ year or equivalent CGPA marks) for General category and 55% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD category.
  • Civil Engineering: The candidates must have completed Full Time Bachelors Degree (BE, B.Tech, Four years B.Sc. (Engineering), AMIE)  or equivalent in Civil Engineering with overall 60% (aggregate of all semesters/ year or equivalent CGPA marks) for General category and 55% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD category.
  • Industrial Engineering: The candidates must have completed Full Time Bachelors Degree (BE, B.Tech, Four years B.Sc. (Engineering), AMIE)  or equivalent in Industrial Engineering with overall 60% (aggregate of all semesters/ year or equivalent CGPA marks) for General category and 55% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD category.
  • Finance: The candidates must have completed CA/ICWA
  • Human Resource: The candidates must have completed MBA with Specialization in HR or Graduate with PG Degree/ Diploma in Social work/ Welfare/ Labor Welfare/ Industrial Relation/ Personnel Management disciplines with overall 60% (aggregate of all semesters/ year or equivalent CGPA marks) for General category and 55% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD category.
  • Human Resource (Pay-Roll): The candidates must have completed a Bachelors Degree in Engineering or MCA or Bachelors Computer Science with overall 60% (aggregate of all semesters/ year or equivalent CGPA marks) for General category and 55% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD category.
  • Assistant Company Secretary: The candidates must be an Associate Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India.

NOTE:

  • Candidates appearing / already appeared in Final year / semester examination may also apply for the above posts, provided they meet the minimum percentage requirement.
  • Two years full time degree or three years part time Post-Graduate Degree / PG Diploma qualification will only be considered.
  • Working knowledge in Computer is essential for all posts.

Pay Scale & Training Period:

  • The candidates selected for these posts will be placed in a scale of Rs.16400 –Rs.40500 in the E-1 category with an annual increment of 3%.
  • Other perks and allowances will be as per rules of the GRSE.
  • The CTC per annum in Asst. Manager grade is approximately Rs. 6.8 Lakhs.

Max Age Limit:

  • A candidate should not exceed max age of 28 Years as on 01-May-2014 to be eligible to apply.
  • However, relaxation in the upper age limit will be applicable for the candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ PWD categories.

Selection Process:

  • The candidates will be selected through a Written Examination followed by Interview for these posts.
  • Based on the scores of Written Examination and organizational requirement, candidates will be short listed for the Personal Interview.

Physical / Medical Fitness

  • Desirous candidates seeking employment with GRSE need to be medically fit as per GRSE’s pre-employment medical standard.

  • The envelope containing Application must be super-scribed as “Empl. Notification No.OS:02/14” and “Post Applied for…………………………………..” in Bold and capital letters.
  • All correspondence with candidates shall be done through e-mail only.
