Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board is a government body responsible for recruitment of talented and qualified candidates for various cadres. It recruits man power for state cadre posts, divisional cadre posts and district cadre posts.
Services Selection Board of Jammu and Kashmir ahs invited applications from residents of the JK state for posts in State, Divisional & District Cadres.
Total Number of Vacancies:
Total 3193 posts have been advertised by Jammu and Kashmir government divided in different districts of region.
State Cadre – 477 vacancies
Division Cadre –
- Kashmir Division – 628 vacancies
- Jammu Division – 354 vacancies
District Cadre – 1734 vacancies

Sale of OMR/ICR application forms starts from: January 07, 2013 to January 22, 2013
Date of receipt for OMR/ICR application forms starts from: January 23, 2013 to February 09, 2013
Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates who are permanent residents of Jammu and Kashmir are eligible to apply for offered posts only.

Age Limit:
Eligible applicant must of minimum 18 years and maximum 37 years of age in case of open merit, 40 years for SC / ST/ RBA/ ALC/ OSC candidates, 39 years for PH candidates, 48 years for ex- servicemen and 40 years for those already in government service.
Pay Scale:
Pay scale for each post is determined by the different pay bands offered by the government as follows:
- Pay Band – 1S – Rs. 4440 – Rs. 7440 with Grade Pay of Rs. 1300
- Pay Band – I – Rs. 5200 – Rs. 20200 with Grade Pay of Rs. 1800, 1900, 2400, 2800
- Pay Band – II – Rs. 9300 – Rs. 34800 with Grade Pay of Rs. 4200, 4240, 4260, 4280
Application Fee & How to:
Interested persons can get their forms for Rs. 200.
The application form in OMR/OBR/ICR format along with the Envelops, Sample Dummy Form, Acknowledgement Card and the Instruction Sheet shall be available at the following branches of J&K Bank Ltd. for sale as mentioned below;
No fee will be charged by the banks for distribution of OMR application forms.
Selection Process:
Eligible Candidates shall be selected on the basis of written test and interview as decided by the authorities. Call letters regarding interview and other selection procedures shall be communicated through print and electronic media and make it available on www.jkssb.nic.in.
Mode of Application:
Offline mode of applications will be accepted only.

Candidates are required to collect application forms in OMR/OBR/ICR format from concerned branches of Jammu & Kashmir Bank limited. List of districts and their branches is available in advertisement published on website and employment news. All applicants are required to duly fill their applications and send them along with copies of requisite documents as applicable. They should send their applications to below mentioned addresses:
