Export Inspection Council of India Recruitment 2014 For Various Positions

The Export Inspection Council (EIC) was set up by the Government of India under Section 3 of the Export (Quality Control and Inspection) Act, 1963, in order to ensure sound development of export trade of India through Quality Control and Inspection and for matters connected thereof. Besides its advisory role, the Export Inspection Council, also exercises technical and administrative control over the five Export Inspection Agencies (EIAs), one each at Channai, Delhi, Kochi, Kolkata and Mumbai established by the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India.

Export Inspection Council renders services in the areas of Certification of quality of export commodities through installation of quality assurance systems and Certification of quality of food items for export through installation of Food safety Management System. It also issues Certificates of origin to exporters under various preferential tariff schemes for export products.

With its recent notification the EIC invites competent professionals for appointment in Export Inspection Council and Export Inspection Agencies with a network of 29 Sub-Offices including laboratories at various designations.

Pay Scale:

  • Vacancy No. 1213/02- Assistant Director (Tech.): The candidates selected for this position will receive remuneration in the scale of Rs.15600 – Rs.39100 with Grade Pay of Rs.5400 (in PB-III) along with other allowances as applicable.
  • Vacancy No. 1213/03- Technical Officer: The candidates selected for this position will receive remuneration in the scale of Rs.9300 – Rs.34800 with Grade Pay of Rs.4200 (in PB-II) along with other allowances as applicable.
  • Vacancy No. 1213/04- Jr. Scientific Assistant: The candidates selected for this position will receive remuneration in the scale of Rs.9300 – Rs.34800 with Grade Pay of Rs.4200 (in PB-II) along with other allowances as applicable.
  • Vacancy No. 1213/05- Lab. Assistant (Gr.-II): The candidates selected for this position will receive remuneration in the scale of Rs.5200 – Rs.20200 with Grade Pay of Rs.1900 (in PB-I) along with other allowances as applicable.
  • Vacancy No. 1213/06- Office Assistant: The candidates selected for this position will receive remuneration in the scale of Rs.9300 – Rs.34800 with Grade Pay of Rs.4200 (in PB-II) along with other allowances as applicable.
  • Vacancy No. 1213/07- Accountant: The candidates selected for this position will receive remuneration in the scale of Rs.9300 – Rs.34800 with Grade Pay of Rs.4200 (in PB-II) along with other allowances as applicable.
  • Vacancy No. 1213/08- Stenographer (Gr.-II): The candidates selected for this position will receive remuneration in the scale of Rs.5200 – Rs.20200 with Grade Pay of Rs.2400 (in PB-I) along with other allowances as applicable.

  • Vacancy No. 1213/10- Peon/MTS: The candidates selected for this position will receive remuneration in the scale of Rs.5200 – Rs.20200 with Grade Pay of Rs.1800 (in PB-I) along with other allowances as applicable.

Academics:

  • Vacancy No. 1213/02- Assistant Director (Tech.): The applicants should have completed Degree in Engineering/ Technology or Post-Graduate in Science or its equivalent and 05 years’ experience in inspection, and or testing in the fields of Chemistry, Food Science, etc. Preference will be given to First Class Post-Graduates. Must have computers proficiency.
  • Vacancy No. 1213/03- Technical Officer: The applicants should have completed Degree in Engineering/ Technology/ Degree in Science (Preferably Honours/ Post-Graduate) or equivalent with 03 years’ experience in inspection and/ or testing in the fields of Chemistry, Food Science, etc. Preference will be given to First Class Post-Graduates. Must have computers proficiency.
  • Vacancy No. 1213/04- Jr. Scientific Assistant: The applicants should have completed Degree in Engineering/ Technology or, Degree in Science (Preferably Honours/ Post-Graduate) or Diploma in Engineering/ Technology or equivalent with experience in testing / inspection in the field of Chemistry or Microbiology. Preference will be given to First Class Post-Graduates.
  • Vacancy No. 1213/05- Lab. Assistant (Gr.-II): The candidates should have completed High School or equivalent with Science subjects and 01 year experience in food testing. Preference will be given to Science Graduates.
  • Vacancy No. 1213/06- Office Assistant: The candidates should have completed Degree or equivalent with 02 years’ experience in Administration/ Accounts work of a Govt. Department or equivalent.
  • Vacancy No. 1213/07- Accountant: The candidates should have completed Degree preferably in Commerce or equivalent With 02 years’ experience in Accounts of a Government Department or equivalent.
  • Vacancy No. 1213/08- Stenographer (Gr.-II): The candidates should have completed High School Certificate or equivalent with Shorthand speed of 100 wpm (words per minute) and Typing Speed of 40 wpm in Hindi or English. The candidates should have 02 years’ experience as Stenographer / Steno-typist. Preference will be given to the candidates having proficiency in both.
  • Vacancy No. 1213/09- Lab. Attendant: The candidates should have completed Middle School Standard with 03 years’ experience in the Laboratory. Preference will be given to candidates who have passed 10th standard.
  • Vacancy No. 1213/10- Peon/MTS: The applicants should have completed Middle School standard with knowledge of reading English/Hindi. Preference will be given to candidates who have passes 10th standard.

Age Requirement:

  • Assistant Director (Tech.)/ Technical Officer: The applicants should have achieved a minimum of 25 years of age and should not have exceeded 35 years as on 29-Apr-2014.
  • Jr. Scientific Assistant/ Office Assistant/ Accountant: The applicants should have achieved a minimum of 20 years of age and should not have exceeded 30 years as on 29-Apr-2014.
  • For all other posts: The applicants should have achieved a minimum of 18 years of age and should not have exceeded 25 years as on 29-Apr-2014.
  • However, relaxation in upper age is applicable for deserving categories of candidates.

Application fees:

  • For SC/ ST/ PWD/ Women/ Ex-servicemen/ EIC/ EIA Departmental candidates: Fees Exempted
  • For all others: Rs.500
  • Candidates applying for more than one Post should apply separately quoting the post applied for along with an application fee of Rs.500 separately.

NOTE:

  • The applicants can pay this fees in shape of Demand Draft / Pay Order in favour of “Export Inspection Council of India” and should be payable at Delhi
  • No other mode of fee payment will be accepted under any circumstances.

  • The applicants need to apply separately for individual posts.
  • The hardcopy of the application completed in all respect and attached with all necessary copies of credential, signature, Photographs and copies of certificates  must reach the following address on or before the last date of receipt of application (i.e. 29-Apr-2014)
  • The envelope containing applications must be super-scribed with the “Name of the Post Applied For………………………………..”
