Notice No. 01 for 2012-13, the EIL invites competent youth with a Bachelors Degree in Engineering for the positions of Management Trainee in its set-up. Training Period and Place of Posting:

• The Training Period is of two year duration for the selected candidates. The place of postings could be varied and could be anywhere in India or abroad as per the project sites, or at any of the offices of the EIL including the Head Quarter.
• The Trainee Draftsmen will be placed at the project site during their 1^st year of training and thereafter at the offices and headquarters as and when necessary.
• Trainee Supervisor (Construction) and Trainee Supervisor (Safety) will be posted at the project sites during the training and thereafter.
• The candidates are required to be placed at anywhere of the above mentioned positions during and after successful completion of the training as an when required and the jobs are transferable in nature.

Pay Provisions, Perks and Remunerations:

The selected candidates as Trainee Draftsman/ Supervisor will be entitled to receive a lump sum emolument of Rs.7500 only per month for first year of Training and Rs.11,000 only per month for 2^nd year of Training

Bachelor Accommodation and Transportation from the Hostel to the place of training during the training period will be offered to Trainee Supervisors/ Draftsmen.

Note: The selected candidates who have a Diploma in Industrial Safety will be offered only one year of training period and will be eligible to receive the stipend of Rs.11000 per month during his training period.

After Successful completion of Training:

The successful candidates will be entitled to receive a pay scale of Rs. 11,900 – Rs.32,000 as a regular employee with a CTC approximately Rs.4.5 lakhs per annum. This will include the TA, DA, HRA, Medical facilities, retirement benefits, etc.

Minimum Norms for Eligibility:

1. 1.    AGE:

The upper age limit for all cited vacancies would be reckoned as on June 01, 2012, and should not be more than 25 years.

However, the upper age limit for privileged class will be relaxed as per the norms of the government for specific categories of recruitment. (For details log on to the website of EIL at //www.engineersindia.com concerned)

1. 2.    Academics:

The candidates must possess a 3 years Diploma in Engineering with minimum of 65% of marks from an Institution duly recognized by AICTE. If the Diploma results are offered in a CGPA grade point, the CGPA must be as per the specifications are detailed under.

Equivalent CGPA/ CPI on scale of 10 -7, scale of 9-6, scale of 8-5.3, scale of 7-4.6, scale of 6-4, scale of 5-3.3 and on scale of 4 should be at least 2.5 for being eligible for applying into specific categories of posts.

Note:

• All the academic credentials must have been achieved by the candidate in the lower demarcated years for the course
• Please round off the percentage of marks to the lower whole number (i.e 75.9% should be written as 75%) and similarly the CGPA / CPI to the lower decimal (i.e 6.49 CGPA/ CPI should be written as 6.4 only)

Selection Procedure:

The selection of competent candidates will be done on the basis of a skill test and/or interview as decided by the Recruitment Cell of EIL.

Relaxation in Upper Age Limit and Reservations:

• One post will be reserved for the Persons with Disability and will be filled up from any categories of Visually Impaired, Hearing Impaired or Orthopedically Impaired candidates.
• The relaxation for upper age limit as well as reservation of posts for special categories like OBC and for scheduled categories like SC, ST will be followed as per the Presidential Directives.
• The Upper Age limit for the PWD category will be relaxed for 10 years, as well.
• The relaxation of the upper age limit will be applicable for children of 1984 riots as well as for the Ex-Servicemen as per the rules

How to Apply:

• The candidate must fill in all respective spaces of information as required on the Application Form
• The candidates should upload their running signature and recent passport size photograph in the dedicated space on the Online Application Form.
• The candidates are requested to exercise thorough scrutiny of the application prior to final upload.

General Instructions:

1. Application forms should be submitted Online only in between 0000 hours of June 16, 2012 and 2400 hours of July 07, 2012 invariably.
2. The email ID provided during the online registration must be kept active for at least a period of 1 year from the date of application. The correspondence with respect to skill test, personal interview and the results might be intimated to the candidates through their email ID
3. Only short-listed candidates will be called for skill test/ Interview
4. Candidates are advised to retain one copy of the filled in Online application form for future reference
5. Under no circumstances applications to be sent to the concerned authorities by post
6. Outstation candidates will be allowed to obtain 2^nd class train fare through shortest possible route to the venue upon short-listing
7. For candidates interested to apply for more than one post may do so by filling in separate applications for each of the desired positions
8. The applicants must have proficiency in computer operations for all levels of recruitment
9. Management of EIL reserves the right to raise the eligibility criteria, alter it or cancel the complete recruitment process without assigning any reason thereof.
10. The decision of Management of EIL for recruitment of such positions as intimated through the advertisement will be final and binding on the candidates.
