DGVCL Recruitment 2014 For Vidyut Sahayak (Junior Engineer-Electrical/ Civil & Junior Assistant) and Asst. Law Officer

With the present requirement for induction of Vidyut Sahayak Junior Engineers in Electrical and Civil Engineers, Vidyut Sahayak (Junior Assistants) and Assistant Law Officers (on Contract basis) in the DGVCL, this versatile company invites the applicants to apply for the job positions through ONLINE mode only.

Name of the Positions and Number of vacancies:

• Vidyut Sahayak (Junior Engineer-Electrical): 25 vacancies
• Vidyut Sahayak (Junior Engineer-Civil): 03 vacancies
• Assistant Law Officers: 04 Vacancies (at each Circle Offices)
• Vidyut Sahayak (Junior Assistant): 250 vacancies (including reservation for SC, ST, OBC, and PWD candidates)

Nature of Engagement:

• The selected Junior Engineer (Vidyut Sahayak) shall be appointed initially for a period of 2 years and may be considered for appointment to the post of Junior Engineer on regular establishment subject to satisfactory completion of 2 years of Lock-In Period and as per discretion of DGVCL.
• The selected Junior Assistant (Vidyut Sahayak) shall be appointed initially for a period of 3 years and may be considered for appointment to the post of Junior Assistant on regular establishment subject to satisfactory completion of 3 years of Lock-In Period and as per discretion of DGVCL.
• The selected Assistant Law Officers will be appointed initially for a period of two years which may be extended for one more year on the basis of individual performance & requirement of the company.

Pay scale and Remunerations (fixed):

• For Vidyut Sahayak (Junior Engineer) [both Civil and Electrical]: Rs.18000 (consolidated per month) for 1^st year and Rs.20000 (consolidated per month) for 2^nd year. Upon successful completion of 2 years, they may be inducted in a regular grade of Junior Engineers in the scale of Rs. Rs.17300 – Rs.38610 on regular cadre.
• For Vidyut Sahayak (Junior Assistant): Rs.6500 (consolidated per month) for 1^st year and Rs.7250 (consolidated per month) for 2^nd year and Rs.8000 per month for the 3^rd year. Upon successful completion of 3 years, they may be inducted in a regular grade of Junior Engineers in the scale of Rs.9700 – Rs.21710 on regular cadre.
• For Assistant Law Officers: The candidates will be eligible to receive a consolidated remuneration in the scale of Rs.35000 per month till the period of appointment.

Age:   

• For Vidyut Sahayak (Junior Engineer) [both Civil and Electrical]: The applicant must have attained 18 years of age and should not have crossed maximum age of 30 years as on 20-Sept-2014.
• For Vidyut Sahayak (Junior Assistant): The applicant must have attained 18 years of age and should not have crossed maximum age of 25 years as on 20-Sept-2014.
• For Assistant Law Officers: The applicant should not have crossed maximum age of 30 years as on 16-Sept-2014.
• However, upper age for reserved category of applicants will be relaxable as per norms.

Education:

• For Vidyut Sahayak (Junior Engineer) [both Civil and Electrical]: The applicant must have completed BE/ BTech in respective disciplines with minimum 60% marks in aggregate (55% for SC, ST, OBC) or equivalent CGPA.

• For Vidyut Sahayak (Junior Assistant): The applicant must be a Graduate Degree holder in B.A, B.Com, B.Sc, B.B.A, B.C.A with at least 55% (50% for SC, ST, OBC) marks as aggregate in final year exam.
• For Assistant Law Officers: The applicant must have a Bachelors’ Degree in any discipline with minimum 55% marks from recognized University plus LLB with minimum 55% marks; or Five year integrated course in Law with minimum 55% marks. The candidates should preferably 02 years of experience in Corporate Sector or as a practicing Advocate in Court of Law. Experience in Public Sector / Power Sector.
• Knowledge of Gujarati, English language and Computer Operations is essential for candidates.

Selection Procedure:

• The selection process involves Written Test and Interview.
• There will be 0.25 negative mark for each wrong answer in the Written Examination

• Those candidates meeting with the above qualification criteria and who have already applied in response to the earlier advertisement for Vidyut Sahayak (Junior Engineer) [both Civil and Electrical] dated 02.03.2014 and paid the requisite fees, need not apply again.

• For SC/ST candidates (except those who are applying for Asst. Law Officer): Rs.250
• For all others: Rs.500
• The fees can be paid through the cash deposit challan available on the website of DGVCL at //www.dgvcl.com and should be paid in any branch of State Bank of India in the Powerjyoti Account No: 33265984351. No other mode of payment will be accepted.
