Delhi Police Recruitment For Constable (Dog-Handler) And Temporary Constable (Executive) 2013
As a premier police force of the country, Delhi Police has been quite famous for its acts of bravery and deliverance of duties and responsibilities for the interest of the state and the Nation. As it exists in one of the most sensitive places of India, the responsibilities also increase very much for the service holders in the Department of Delhi Police.
With the recent notification, the Delhi Police is inviting applications for the post of Constables in various profiles in the department. The details of the vacancies are detailed as under:

Important Dates:
- Date of publication of Notification: 26-Jan-2013
- Date of closure of receipt of application: 28-Feb-2013
- Dates for payment of Application Fees: In between 26-Jan to 28-Feb-2013
No of vacancies: 1088 posts
- Constable (Executive) – Total 1045 posts – SC-159 – ST-79- OBC-284 – Only for Male candidates
- Policemen (Dog Handler) – Total 43 posts – SC-06 – ST-04- OBC-12 – Only for Male candidates
- Total 10% vacancies will be reserved for Ex-Servicemen as per the rules
Essential Recruitments:
- Age: The applicants must be within 18-21 years of age as on 1-Jan-13 to be eligible to apply for the positions. However, there will be relaxation in upper age limit as per rules
- Education: Must have completed 10+2 from a recognized institute. However, the educational qualification standard may be relaxed to 11th standard pass for Constables in categories of Bandsman, Biguler, Mounted, Drivers, Dispatch riders, sons of Ex-police employees
- Especially for Constables (Executives): Must have a valid driving license of LMV and MCWG
- Especially for Constable (Dog Handler): Should be dog-loving and should be smart enough to take care of Dogs. And he should be free with dogs
Pay Scale, Grade Pay and Remunerations:
- Pay scale of Rs.5200 – Rs.20200 and Grade Pay of Rs.2000
- Other facilities as per rules of State Home Department
