GOADFES.gov.in Advertisement 01 of Year 2016- Directorate of Fire and Emergency Services, Goa, Government of Goa invites applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the Group “C” Non-Ministerial Non-Gazetted Posts of Sub Officer, Fire Fighter, Driver Operator, and Watch Room Operator. Candidates will be selected on the basis of Written Exam and Physical Efficiency Test.
Sub Officer- 10 vacancies
Fire Fighter- 183 vacancies
Driver Operator- 33 vacancies
Watch Room Operator- 07 vacancies

Educational Qualification:
For Sub Officer: Candidates must possess Higher Secondary School Certificate from a recognized Board, OR AICTE approved Diploma preferably in science or engineering subjects from a recognised institute. Candidates must have fulfill minimum required physical criteria/ standards.
For All Other Posts: Candidates must possess Secondary School Certificate or equivalent qualification. Candidates must have fulfill minimum required physical criteria/ standards.
Candidates applying for driver operator position must also possess driving license for heavy vehicle, and minimum two years experience in the line.
Note: Candidates must have knowledge of Konkani. Knowledge of Marathi is desirable.
Upper Age Limit As on 15-April-2016:
For Sub Officer, Driver Operator, and Watch Room Operator Positions: 35 years
For Fire Fighter Posts: 28 years
Pay Scale:
Sub Officer- Rs. 5200-20200/- plus Grade Pay of Rs. 2400/-
Fire Fighter/ Watch Room Operator- Rs. 5200-20200/- plus Grade Pay of Rs. 1900/-
Driver Operator- Rs. 5200-20200/- plus Grade Pay of Rs. 2000/-
