Council of Scientific & Industrial Research will hold an all India Competitive Examination (CSIR- Combined Administrative Services Examination 2023) for direct recruitment to the posts Section Officer and Assistant Section Officer.
Section Officer: 76 Vacancies; Pay Level 8, Cell 1 (Rs. 47,600 – Rs. 1,51,100)
Assistant Section Officer: 368 Vacancies; Pay Level 7, Cell 1 (Rs. 44,900 – Rs. 1,42,400)
Candidates must possess Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised university.
Upper Age Limit: 33 years. Howevver, relaxation in upper age limit applicable asper central government rules.

Date of Stage I Examination: February 2024

Scheme of Examination:
General Awareness and English Language and Comprehension of 150 Marks
General Intelligence, Reasoning and Mental Ability of 200 Marks
English/ Hindi – Descriptive Paper of 150 Marks
Computer Proficiency Test (Qualifying in nature) carrying 100 Marks for the Posts of Assistant Section Officer Only.
Interview carrying 100 Marks for the Post of Section Officer only.
Applicattion Fee: Rs. 500/- for Unreserved (UR), OBC and EWS Categories candidates.
Applicants are suggested to pay the applciation fee by using Debit Cards (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, UPI.
Women/ SC/ ST/ PwBD/ Ex-Servicemen/CSIR Departmental Candidates are exempted from payment of application fee.
