CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force) is one of the most recognized Para-Military forces of the nation and is being operated under the banner of Central Armed Police Forces. CAPF is a congregation of major Para-Military Forces of India, which presently constitutes of BSF (Border Security Force), CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force), CISF (Central Industrial Police Force), SSB (Seema Surakhsya bal) and ITBP (Indo-Tibet Border Police). The CAPF operates under the direct guidelines of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India. As one of the most responsible forces, the CAPF is responsible for counter-insurgency operations, combating Naxalite movements, safe keeping border intrusions, operating as a special task force for many other law and order activities as well as peace-keeping initiatives. These forces are highly acclaimed forces of India and are quite well-known for their swift actions and effective deployment.
With the recent announcement, the CAPF is conducting a recruitment Rally for the residents of Aurangabad, Gaya & Jamui districts of Bihar. This rally will be conducted at various places in the concerned districts and it will continue from 27-May-2013 till 31-May-2013 at the designated selection centers.
The details of the recruitment procedure and essential eligibility are as follows:

For each District the number of vacancies is 284 posts as per the break-up below
- BSF: 170 posts (ST)
- CISF: 15 posts (SC-1, OBC-10, UR-04)
- CRPF: 84 posts (SC-69, OBC-05, UR-10)
- SSB: 07 posts (SC)
- ITBP: 08 posts (SC)
- There will be 10% reservation for Ex-servicemen in each category
Domicile Requirement:
Applicants, who are male and are domiciles of Aurangabad, Gaya and Jamui districts of Bihar, are only eligible to participate in their concerned districts in this Recruitment Rally. No candidate belonging to other districts including other L.W.E. districts of Bihar State will be allowed to participate in the rally except these 3 Naxal affected districts.
Education Qualification:
The candidates must have passed matriculation examination or its equivalent from a Board or university recognized by the Central or State Govt.
Age Specification:
A candidate must be aged between 18 to 23 years as on 01-January-2013 to be eligible for this consideration. However, there will be relaxation in upper age limit for SC, ST, OBC & Ex-servicemen in accordance with the Governments orders.
Physical Standards:
- Height: 170 cm (160 cm for ST category)
- Weight: Proportionate to height
- Chest: 80 Cm (76 cm for ST) without expansion and 85 cm (81 cm for ST) with expansion
- Eye Power: 6/6 and 6/9 without correction in both eyes
Pay Provisions:
The applicants gets selected as Constables in General Duty will be receiving a monthly remuneration in the scale of Rs.5200-Rs.20200 with a grade Pay of Rs.2000 along with other allowances and perks

The selection of candidates will be done at Rally abiding the following procedure:
- Physical Standard Test
- Physical Endurance Test
- Written Examination
- Personal Interview
- Final Medical Examination
- Review Medical Examination
- Announcement of Merit List

The applicants should report at the Rally ground at the dates mentioned above with the following documents. No application fee is required for these positions:

- Passport size photograph
- Certificates of all education with original and two sets of photocopies
- Domicile Certificate (must), Sports certificate, NCC certificate, Caste Certificate, Character Certificate
- Other certificates claiming relaxation or advantage of marks
- The decision of the Selection Board will be final and binding on candidates
- The general cut-off percentage of marks for final consideration.
