CRPF Recruitment 2013 For 248 Sub-Inspector (Civil) and Constable (Pioneer) Vacancies

Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) operates under Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) of the Government of India. It is largest of India’s Central Armed Police Forces.

Name of Post: Applications are invited from Indian male citizens for the posts of Sub-Inspector (Civil) and Constable (Pioneer) in CRPF.

Total Number of Vacancies:

The total number of vacancies for post of SI/Civil is 54. For Constable/Pioneer there are 194 vacancies for Mason, 46 vacancies for Plumber, and 72 vacancies for Electrician.

Last date of submission of applications is 13-02-2013.

Eligibility Criteria:

Qualifications required for the post of SI /Civil are:

  • The candidate should be intermediate passed with three years diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized Board.

For Constable (Pioneer),

  • The minimum qualification required for the post is Matriculation.
  • The candidate should possess one year experience in respective trades.
  • Candidates having certificate of trade from recognized Industrial Training Institute will be preferred for the post.

The candidates should be of sound mental and physical health. For physical and medical standards please refer to the official advertisement.

Age Limit (as on 01-01-2013):

Candidate must be of minimum 21 years and maximum 30 years for the post of SI/Civil. Age for candidates applying for Constable/Pioneer must fall between 18 to 23 years.

There are provisions of age relaxations in upper age for candidates belonging to reserved category.

Pay Scale:

Pay scales allotted are given below:

  • Sub-Inspector (Civil)-Rs 9300-34800- Grade Pay Rs 4200/-
  • Constable (Pioneer)-Rs5200-20200- Grade Pay Rs 2000/-

In addition the selected candidates will be entitled for other allowances admissible to Central Government employees.

Application Fee & How to:

General and OBC candidates are required to pay application fees of Rs 50/- by way of crossed Indian Postal Order/Demand Draft payable in favour of the DIGP of the respective application receiving centres.

SC/ST candidates are exempted from paying the fees.

Selection Process:

Candidates found eligible for the post of Sub- Inspector (Civil) will have to undergo following tests: Physical Measurement, Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Written Test, Interview followed by Detailed Medical Examination.

Candidates applying for the post of Constable (Pioneer) will have to undergo Physical standards Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Written Test, Trade Test and Medical Examination. Trade Test will be qualifying in nature.

Interested candidates must fill the application provided in prescribed format. The application form should be either typed or handwritten neatly. Relevant documents must be attached along with the application form such as attested copies of Education certificates, two passport size photographs, certificate in support of category, Date of Birth, etc in an envelope super scribed “Application for the post of SI/Civil or CT/Pioneer in CRPF”.  Send the applications at respective receiving centres as mentioned in application fee sections above.
