The Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS) is an Autonomous Organization under the Ministry of Railways, Government of India. CRIS possesses state-of-the-art infrastructure at its offices in New Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai, and Secunderabad. With the recent notification from the CRIS, a competitive recruitment examination will be conducted for selection of 40 numbers of Junior Software Engineers and 14 numbers of Junior Network Engineers for its upcoming projects.

Candidates will be selected on the basis of online test conducted at New Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai, and Secunderabad. The selected candidates could be posted at CRIS Headquarters in New Delhi or at any of the Regional Offices at New Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai, and Secunderabad (Hyderabad), or any project site in India.

Minimum Educational Qualification:
- Junior Software Engineer: B.Sc. (Computer Science)/ BCA/ 3-year Diploma in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Information Technology Enabled Services & Management/ A Level examination of DOEACC. 3-year Diploma should be recognized by the Directorate of Training and Technical Education of any State/ Government of India. Candidates holding a 4-year degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or 3 year MCA, may apply.
- Junior Network Engineer: Three year Diploma in Electronics or Electronics and Communication or related subjects like Instrumentation. 3-year Diploma should be recognized by the Directorate of Training and Technical Education of any State/ Govt. of India. Candidates holding a 4-year degree in Electronics or Electronics and Communication may apply.
- The candidates must have secured Minimum 60% marks in qualifying diploma/degree (55% for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates).
Age requirement: The applicant should have obtained minimum 22 years and should not have crossed maximum 28 years as on last date of submission of application. However, there will be relaxation in upper age limit as per rules for the candidates who fall under reserved categories as demarcated by the Government of India.
Pay Provisions: The applicants selected as for these posts will be eligible to receive a pay scale of 7th CPC Level 6 plus DA and other allowances. The approximate monthly salary will be around Rs.35400 at the period of joining. Other allowances and perks will be admissible for these posts as per the rules of CRIS.

There is no application fee for SC/ST/PWD candidates or women candidates. Fee should be deposited in CRIS’s Account with State Bank of India after completing Step-2 of the registration process.
