The Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS), an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Railways, invites applications from eligible candidates for recruitment of Assistant Software Engineer positions on contract basis for a period of five years, which includes a probationary period of one year.

Last Date for Step-I and Step-II of Online Registration: December 20, 2023
Minimum Qualification Required: The candidate must possess B.E/ B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering or Computer Science or Computer Technology or Information Technology or Computer Science and Information Technology or Computer Applications, or MCA or B.Sc (Computer Science, 4 year degree course); from an AICTE/ UGC recognized institute, or equivalent qualification as per Government of India; with minimum 60% marks or equivalent CGPA (55% for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates). Candidates appearing/ appeared for the final semester of the qualifying degree are also eligible to apply.
Candidates possessing a valid GATE 2023 Score along with the prescribed qualifications ONLY are eligible to apply. Candidates with ME/M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering can also apply, provided they possess the required GATE 2023 scores.
Age Limit: Minimum age limit is 22 years and Maximum age limit is 27 years As on last date for submission of complete application. However, relaxation in upper age limit is applicable as per government rules.
Pay Scale: 7th CPC Level 7 + DA and other Allowances as per CRIS Rules
Mode of Selection: The candidate will be selected based on the basis of GATE 2023 Score.
Application Fee:
Rs. 1000/- + Bank charges for General/ OBC-NCL/ EWS candidates
SC/ ST/ PWD candidates or women candidates are exempted from payment of application fee.
The candidates are suggested to deposit the application fee in CRIS’s Account with State Bank of India after completing Step-2 of the registration process.
