CMPDIL stands for Central Mine Planning & Design Institute Limited is one of the Public Sector Enterprise along with Miniratna status of Category-II given by Government of India. It is also a subsidiary of CIL (Coal India limited). It was founded in 1975 after when coal mines were nationalization and is headquartered in Ranchi. It is the designing and planning subsidiary of CIL. The company is involved in providing services like design & planning, research & development, exploration, coal preparation etc. and its clients are spread all over India.
