Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) is a Category-I Mini-Ratna Company With its recent notification has invited eligible and aspiring candidates for induction into 120 vacancies for Assistant Foreman (Electrical), 27 vacancies of E.P. Electrician (Excavation)/ Technician and 158 vacancies of Electrician (Non-Excavation)/ Technicians under its operational control, under a Special Recruitment Drive for SC/ ST/ OBC-NCL candidates.

No other category of candidates should apply for these posts except SC, ST and OBC-NCL candidates.

Details of Job Positions:

  1. Assistant Foreman (Electrical): 120 Posts (OBC-28, SC-27 & ST-65)
  2. E.P. Electrician (Excavation)/ Technician: 27 Posts (OBC-06, SC-02 & ST-19)
  3. Electrician (Non-Excavation)/ Technicians: 158 Posts (OBC-38, SC-38, ST-82)

NOTE: There will be posts for Unreserved category.

Pay Scale & Remunerations:

  • Assistant Foreman (Electrical): The candidates selected for these positions will be eligible to receive remuneration in the basic pay of Rs.19035.02 per month along with other allowances as per National Coal Wage Agreement (NCWA)-IX in T&S Grade C.
  • E.P. Electrician (Excavation)/ Technician: The candidates selected for these positions will be eligible to receive remuneration in the daily wage of Rs.689.65 per day along with other allowances as per National Coal Wage Agreement (NCWA)-IX in Grade D.
  • Electrician (Non-Excavation)/ Technicians: The candidates selected for these positions will be eligible to receive remuneration in the daily wage of Rs.649.69 per day along with other allowances as per National Coal Wage Agreement (NCWA)-IX in Category-IV.
  • Other allowances and perks will be applicable as per rules of Central Coalfields Limited.

Educational Eligibility & Training Provisions:

  • Assistant Foreman (Electrical):  The applicants must have completed Matriculation or equivalent examination with a full-time 3 years Diploma in Electrical Engineering. The candidates must have Electrical Supervisorship Certificate valid for mines. The selected candidates will join this post as a Trainee in the same grade for a period of 1 year. After completion of training and satisfactory performance they will be permanently inducted in the positions.
  • E.P. Electrician (Excavation)/ Technician: The applicants must have completed Matriculation with ITI in Electrician Trade with Statutory Certificate as per I.E. Rules. These candidates must have completed Apprenticeship Training under Apprenticeship Act. ITI Certificate Holders with One Year Course plus One year Training at the time of induction will be placed in Category II on daily wages of Rs 617.94. After completion of training and satisfactory performance they will be permanently inducted in Category-III daily wages of Rs 636.77 as per NCWA-IX. ITI certificate holders with Two Year Course plus One year Training at the time of induction will be placed in Category III on daily wages of Rs 636.77 as per NCWA-IX on a training period of 1 year. These candidates will be regularized in Grade D on the daily wages of Rs 689.65 as per NCWA-IX after successful completion of one year training in Excavation cadre (or the training may extend further).
  • Electrician (Non-Excavation)/ Technicians: The applicants must have completed Matriculation with ITI in Electrician Trade with Statutory Certificate as per I.E. Rules. They must have completed Apprenticeship Training under Apprenticeship Act. The candidates must have LT permit under IE Rules for mines or 440-550 Volts mining parts permit issued by Competent Authority applicable to mines and HT permit for cable joining and overhead lines issued by the competent authority applicable to mines. ITI Certificate Holders with One Year Course plus One year Training at the time of induction will be placed in Category II on daily wages of Rs 617.94. After completion of training and satisfactory performance they will be permanently inducted in Category-III daily wages of Rs 636.77 as per NCWA-IX. ITI certificate holders with Two Year Course plus One year Training at the time of induction will be placed in Category III on daily wages of Rs 636.77 as per NCWA-IX on a training period of 1 year. These candidates will be regularized in Category-IV on the daily wages of Rs 649.69 as per NCWA-IX after successful completion of one year training in Excavation cadre (or the training may extend further).

Age Specific Requirement:

  • The candidates applying for these positions must have attained 18 years of age and should not have crossed max age of 33 years for OBC-NCL candidates and 35 years for SC/ ST candidates as on 27-Sep-2014.
  • There will be relaxation in upper age limit as per rules for SC, ST, OBC-NCL candidates.

Application Fee:

  • For OBC-NCL candidates: Rs.100 only
  • For SC/ ST/ Departmental candidates: Fees exempted
  • The fee has to be remitted in shape of Demand Draft from any nationalized bank drawn in favor of “Central Coalfields Limited” payable at Ranchi.
  • Name of the candidate and post applied for should be written on the back side of the demand draft.

Selection Procedure:

  • The selection to these posts will be done through a Written Examination and an Interview on the basis of merit ranking.
  • Only the candidates short listed in the written test will be eligible to appear for interview.
