CBSE Recruitment 2014 For Various Senior & Junior Cadre Positions on Direct and Contractual Norms
Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) got its name in the year 1962 after centralization of Board of High School and Intermediate Education, Rajputana covering the entire country as its operational jurisdiction. The main objectives of the board is to serve the educational institutions more effectively, and becoming responsive to the educational needs of those students whose parents were employed in the Central Government and had frequently transferable jobs. From 309 schools in 1962 the Board today has 8979 schools (as on 31-Mar-2007) including 141 schools in 21 countries. There are 897 Kendriya Vidyalayas, 1761 Government Schools, 5827 Independent Schools, 480 Jawahar Novodaya Vidyalayas and 14 Central Tibetan Schools are being affiliated with this board.
With the recent requirement from the CBSE, it is inviting competent applications from candidates for various senior and junior cadres of positions. The vacancies are composite for the year 2014 and it has invited candidature for Joint Secretary to the lowest level of clerical cadre.

Educational Qualification & Experience:

Mode of Selection:
- The selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of Career Assessment and Written tests followed by an Interview as per the decision of CBSE.
- The Board at its discretion will select the candidates competently on a merit basis.
- Appointment of selected candidates is subject to his/her being declared medically fit as per the requirement of the Board
Application Fee:
- For Male candidates of Unreserved and OBC category: Rs.500
- For Female candidates of Unreserved and OBC category: Rs.500
- SC/ ST/ PWD candidates are exempted from paying any fees
- The fee can be remitted through a Fee Payment e-challan via Online Mode.
- No fee is applicable for posts to be filled on deputation basis.
How to apply:
- Interested candidates can apply ONLINE for the posts by logging into the official site of CBSE at //cbse.nic.in .
- Detailed instructions for filling up of the post are provided at the same portal. Candidates are advised to read the detailed advertisement at //cbse.nic.in/recruitment/Vacancy_Final_2014.pdf, before filling up the Online Application.
- Candidates are required to fill in the application form, and upload a recent passport size photograph, signature at appropriate spaces.
- No photocopies of the certificates and documents as proof of birth, educational career, caste, etc. are to be submitted at this point of time. This will be required at the Interview phase only.
- The Admit cards etc. can be downloaded from the website of the CBSE
- Separate applications are to be submitted for each post along with requisite fee.
- The Board reserves the right to fix criteria viz. screening test/ qualification/ experience etc. to short-list the candidates to be called for interview.
