BSF stands for Border Security Force which is a Guarding unit for the border of India. It was set up on December 1, 1965. Indian BSF ranks among the largest border security forces of the world.
Ministry of Home Affairs re-announces the vacancies for the left out posts of junior Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (DC) in Border Security Force Air Wing (Group- ‘A’) – 3rd lot recruitment.
Number of vacancies:
There are total 7 vacancies announced for the post.General-01, SC-02, ST- 01 and OBC-03 vacancies.
Important Dates:
The last date for receiving the application for the respective post is January 28, 2013.
Written Examination/ Oral cum Practical Test: Last week of Februray, 2013 (Tentative)
Interview/ Medical Examination: First week of March, 2013 (Tentative)
Eligibility Criteria:
Qualifications for applying for are post is as follows-
- Graduate in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Tele-Communication and Aeronautical Stream along with Aircraft maintenance Engineer License or examination certificate in Air Frame/Engine/ HA/JE/Avionics (various categories).
- Experience of minimum 3 years in Aircraft maintenance plus minimum 1 year experience in BSF type of Helicopters and Aeroplanes.
Age Limit:
The candidates’ age must not exceed 35 years. Relaxation is provided to the Government officer according to Central Government.
Pay Scale:
Hired candidates will be offered the pay –band of Rs. 15,600-39,100 along with grade pay of Rs. 6,600/-.
Application Fee & How to:
Candidates have to pay the amount of Rs. 100/- in the form of bank draft as the application fees “in favour of DDO HQ DG BSF” payable at SBI Service Branch New Delhi (Code No. 7687).
ST/SC/Female/ Ex-Serviceman/ Departmental candidates are exempted from the fees.
Selection Process:
The selection procedure comprises of stages as follows:-
- Written test
- Oral- Practical Exam
- Face to face Interview
- Medical test
Mode of Application:
Candidate has to apply using offline mode. The application is needed to be filled in the prescribed format and send to the prescribed address as per the original notification issued earlier.
How to Apply:
Applicants are required to fill the issued application format manually that can be downloaded from the website www.bsf.nic.in. The document to be send along with the application are attested photo-copies of age proof, education certificates, caste certificate, experience certificates, three passport sized attested photographs, two 25×12 cms self-addressed envelopes with Rs. 27/- stamp pasted on each and the bank draft of Rs. 100/-.
The complete application along with the bank draft and asked documents are to be sent to address-“The DIG (Pers), HQ DG BSF, Block-01 CGO Complex, Lodhi Road New Delhi-110003”.
