Bharatiya Mahila bank Recruitment 2014 For 225 Officers In MMSG-II, MMGS-III and SMGS-IV

With the recent revolution in the banking sector, Bharatiya Mahila Bank (BMB), an all Women bank has been launched with effect from November 2013 in India. With the grand opening of this all-women Bank, the BMB started operation in six cities of India as a beginning and then further extend to other states in a phase-wise manner. The Six cities where the BMB started its operation are Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Indore and Guwahati, which mark a distinct presence to cover all zonal segments of the country as a whole. The Bharatiya Mahila Bank, at present has 23 branches across the country and aims to add 55 – 60 new branches in the current financial year.

With a key initiative of empowering women in self-banking and economic empowerment, this initiative of the Government of India is dedicated for offering a new dimension to liberty of women with women for women initiative. With a seed capital of 1000 Crore INR this bank started its operation in India, since November 2013.

With the recent announcement from the BMB, to empower its branches with adequate workforce to serve millions of women in India, it is all set to go for the recruitment of Officers for the year 2014-15 in the profiles of Middle Management and Senior Management levels.

The details of the application procedure and the eligibility criteria for recruitment are detailed as under.

  • Officer (MMGS-III): 65 Post (SC-09, ST-04, OBC-17, UR-35)
  • Officer (SMGS-IV): 06 Posts (OBC-01, UR-05)

Pay Scale Provisions:

  • Manager (MMGS-II): The candidates selected for these posts will be eligible to receive remuneration in the scale of Rs.19400 – Rs.28100 along with other perks and remunerations as per the norms of the bank.
  • Senior Manager (MMGS-III): The candidates selected for these posts will be eligible to receive remuneration in the scale of Rs.25700 – Rs.31500 along with other perks and remunerations as per the norms of the bank.
  • Chief Manager (SMGS-IV): The candidates selected for these posts will be eligible to receive remuneration in the scale of Rs.30600 – Rs.36200 along with other perks and remunerations as per the norms of the bank.

Academic Eligibility:

Posts under grade SMGS-IV

  • Chief Manager (Head of IT Strategy, Governance, Service Quality & Compliance): The candidates should have a PG Degree from a reputed college of Degree from an Engineering College or MCA. MBA would be an added advantage. The candidates should have at least 7 years of relevant experience in a Financial Institution/ Bank.
  • Chief Manager [Head IT Security (CISO)]: The candidates should have a PG Degree from a reputed college or Degree from an Engineering College. The candidate should possess any Certificate such as CISA/ CISM/ CISSSP. The candidates should have at least 7 years of relevant experience out of which minimum 4 years in the area of Information Security in a Financial Institution/ Bank.
  • Chief Manager (Head IT planning, Budgeting and Vendor Management): The candidates should have a PG Degree from a reputed college of Degree from an Engineering College. A Degree in Finance is desirable. The candidates should have at least 7 years of relevant experience in a Financial Institution/ Bank.
  • Chief Manager (Head IT Project Management): The candidates should have a PG Degree from a reputed college of Degree from an Engineering College. A Degree in Finance is desirable. The candidates should have at least 7 years of relevant experience in a Financial Institution/ Bank.
  • Chief Manager (Chief Economist): The candidates should have Post-Graduation in Economics with specialization in Monetary/ Financial Economics or Econometrics/ Banking/ Finance. Doctoral Degree in areas of Money/ Banking/ International Finance would be an added advantage. The candidates should have at least 7 years of relevant experience in a Financial Institution/ Bank.  
  • Chief Manager (HRD): The candidates should have Post-Graduation/ MBA with specialization in HR from a premier Business School. The candidates should have at least 7 years of relevant experience in a Financial Institution/ Bank.

Posts under grade MMGS-III

  • Senior Manager (Legal): The candidates should have Graduation with LLB or should have completed 5 years integrated course with LLB. The candidate should have been enrolled as an advocate with Bar Council and 3 years experience of practice at Bar or Judicial service and/ or 5 years as a Law Officer in the Legal Dept. of a scheduled Commercial Bank/ Private Sector Bank/ Financial Institution/ Central/ State Government or of a Public Sector Undertaking.
  • Senior Manager (Civil Engineer): The candidates should have BE/ BTech (Civil Engineering) along with 5 years of relevant experience. The applicant should be fully conversant with code of practice and relevant BIS code.
  • Senior Manager (Architect): The candidates should have BE/ BTech (Architecture) along with 5 years of relevant experience. The applicant should be fully conversant with Computer based presentation in Auto CAD, 3D Studio, 3D Max, and Photo Shop besides ability to liason with Municipal Authorities.
  • Senior Manager (Forex Dealer): The candidates should have Graduation in any discipline and Post Graduate Degree/ Diploma in Treasury Management/ Forex. The candidates should have minimum 5 years of experience in Foreign Exchange Dealing in a Public Sector/ Private Sector Bank, Finance Institution, etc.
  • Senior Branch Manager (Proposed posts for yet to be opened branches): The candidates should have Graduation in any discipline. The candidates should have 5 years of experience as Branch Head in any Public Sector/ Private Sector Bank/ reputed NBFC with strong sales, people-management and customer-service skills.

Posts under grade MMGS-II

  • Manager (Agriculture/ Rural Development): The candidates should have 4 year Degree (Graduation) in Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Animal Husbandry/ associated subjects. The candidates should have 3 years of experience as an Agriculture Officer in a Public Sector/ Private Sector Bank.
  • Manager (Official Language): The candidates should have Post Graduation in Hindi, with English as one of the subjects at Degree Level along with minimum 3 year experience in Translation from English to Hindi and vice-versa in a full-time post in a reputed organization.
  • Manager (Security): The candidates should have Graduation in any discipline. The candidates should have been served as an Officer with 5 years of commissioned service in Indian Army/ Navy/ Air force OR 5 years of service as a Police Officer not below the rank of Asstt. Supdt. of Police/ Dy. Supdt. of Police OR Officers of identical work in Para-Military Forces with 5 years experience.
  • Manager (Marketing & Business Development): The candidates should be a Graduate and should have Full-time MBA in Marketing specialization. Should have 3 years of sales and marketing experience in a Public Sector/ Private Sector Bank, NBFC etc.
  • Manager (Credit): The candidates should be a Graduate and should have Full-time MBA in Marketing specialization And/ Or, a Chartered Accountant. Should have 3 years of relevant experience in a Public Sector/ Private Sector Bank, NBFC etc.
  • Manager General Banking Operations (Proposed posts for yet to be opened branches): The candidates should have a Graduation Degree in any discipline from a recognized University along with 3 years experience in banking operations at branch level in a Public Sector/ Private Sector Bank, Finance Institution, etc..

Age Specific Norms:

  • For Chief Manager: The applicants should have attained minimum of 27 year and should not have exceed 40 years as on 01-June-2014.
  • For Senior Manager: The applicants should have attained minimum of 25 year and should not have exceed 35 years as on 01-June-2014.
  • For Manager Security: The applicants should have attained minimum of 21 year and should not have exceed 30 years as on 01-June-2014.
  • For Manager (other disciplines): The applicants should have attained minimum of 21 year and should not have exceed 28 years as on 01-June-2014.
  • However, the privileged category such as SC/ST/OBC (NCL) and Persons with Disability will be eligible for relaxation in upper age limit as per normal regulations.
  • The applicants must submit a competent certificate proving their caste from a competent authority in this regard to be eligible for consideration of age relaxation.
  • Knowledge of computer operation is mandatory for all the posts.

Selection Procedure:

  • The candidates who are shortlisted with the Written Examination will have to attend Interview at the designated centers of BMB.
  • The final score will be published on a merit ranking basis.
  • The norms of selection will be as per the directives of BMB.

Application Fee:

  • For SC/ ST/ Persons with Disability (PWD): Rs.100 only
  • For GEN/ OBC/ Ex-Servicemen: Rs.600 only
  • The fee can only be remitted through ONLINE Net Banking with Debit or Credit Card through the Online Payment Gateway of the Bank.
  • No other mode of fee payment will be accepted.
