Bank of Maharashtra Recruitment 2014 For Specialist Officers In IT Disciplines

With its recent notification, Bank of Maharashtra invites applications from eligible candidates, for 45 various posts of Specialist Officers in Information Technology disciplines in the grades of JMGS-I and MMGS-II.

The details of the vacancies and the eligibility criteria thereof are mentioned as under:

Important dates to reckon:

  • Starting date for online registration: 06-May-2014
  • Closing date for Online registration: 22-May-2014
  • Remittance of application fees: In between the above two dates
  • Date for availability of Admit Card online: 23-June-2014 (tentative)
  • Tentative date for Online Examination: 06-July-2014

  • Post Code – 02 – Windows Administrator – Grade-JMGS-I: 02 Posts
  • Post Code – 03 – Oracle Database Administrator – Grade-JMGS-I: 02 Posts
  • Post Code – 04 – MSSQL Database Administrator – Grade-JMGS-I: 02 Posts
  • Post Code – 05 – Software Programmer – Grade-JMGS-I: 02 Posts
  • Post Code – 06 – IT Support Administrator – Grade-JMGS-I: 30 Posts
  • Post Code – 07 – Information Security Officer – Grade-MMGS-II: 03 Posts
  • Post Code – 08 – People-Soft Implementation Specialist – Grade-MMGS-II: 02 Posts

Reservation:

  • MMGS-II: 05 Posts (SC-01, ST-01, OBC-01, UR-02)
  • JMGS-I: 40 Posts (SC-06, ST-02, OBC-10, UR-22)
  • All reservations will be applicable as per rules of the bank

Pay Scale and Remunerations:

  • MMGS-II: The candidates selected for these positions will be eligible to receive a remuneration in the scale of Rs.19400 – Rs.28100 along with other applicable allowances as offered by the bank.
  • JMGS-I: The candidates selected for these positions will be eligible to receive a remuneration in the scale of Rs.14500 – Rs.25700 along with other applicable allowances as offered by the bank.

Period of Probation:

  • The candidates selected as Specialist Officers will have to serve the bank for a probation period of 12 Months (1 year) from the date of joining, before their permanent induction.

Service Bond:

  • The selected candidates as Specialist Officers will be required to execute a Service Bond undertaking to serve the Bank. This is mandatory for all positions.

Age: (As on 01-Apr-2014)

  • MMGS-II: The candidates applying against these posts must have achieved the minimum age of 28 years and should not exceed the maximum age of 35 years as on the date prescribed above.
  • JMGS-I: The candidates applying against these posts must have achieved the minimum age of 23 years and should not exceed the maximum age of 30 years as on the date prescribed above.
  • However, Relaxation in upper age limit for privileged category will be applicable as per rules.

Academics Qualification & Experience:

  • Post Code – 01: The applicants should have completed B.Tech / B.E. in Computer Science / Electronics / Electronics & Telecommunications Engineering with minimum 55% Marks (50% for SC/ST). They should have Very strong fundamental knowledge in Networking including TCP/IP, DHCP and DNS, ISO/OSI Layer, and IEEE Standards. They must have experience in Installation, Administration & Managing CISCO Switches, Routers & Firewalls along with Exposure to Structured Cabling systems, Fiber Optics, WAN, MPLS, VSAT, etc. They must have minimum 1 year of Post-Qualification experience. Candidates having CCNA/ CCNP and having experience in banks/ financial institutions will be preferred.
  • Post Code – 02: The applicants should have completed B.Tech / B.E in Computer Science / IT / Electronics Engineering / MCA / MSC Computer Science with minimum 55% Marks (50% for SC/ST). They should have Very strong knowledge in Knowledge in Windows Administration, Maintenance with exposure to Windows Installation, Configuration, Patch Management, IIS/Website configuration, Backup / Restore management, Windows scripts management, Active Directory services, etc. They must have minimum 1 year of Post-Qualification experience. Candidates having knowledge of Lotus Notes mail administration and having experience in banks/ financial institutions will be preferred.
  • Post Code – 03: The applicants should have completed B.Tech / B.E in Computer Science / IT / Electronics Engineering / MCA / MSC Computer Science with minimum 55% Marks (50% for SC/ST). They must have Knowledge in Database Administration, Maintenance with exposure to ORACLE 9 or above. They must have minimum 1 year of Post-Qualification experience. Candidates having additional Oracle Certification and having experience in banks/ financial institutions will be preferred.
  • Post Code – 04: The applicants should have completed B.Tech / B.E in Computer Science / IT / Electronics Engineering / MCA / MSC Computer Science with minimum 55% Marks (50% for SC/ST). They must have Knowledge in Database Administration, Maintenance with exposure to MSSQL 2000, 2005, 2008. They must have minimum 1 year of Post-Qualification experience. Candidates having additional MSSQL Certification and having experience in banks/ financial institutions will be preferred.
  • Post Code – 05: The applicants should have completed B.Tech / B.E in Computer Science / IT / Electronics Engineering / MCA / MSC Computer Science with minimum 55% Marks (50% for SC/ST). They must have knowledge of implementing, supporting, trouble shooting, vendor co-ordination, data conversion from Legacy systems to CBS Data environment, SLA, etc. They must have minimum 1 year of Post-Qualification experience. Candidates having experience in banks/ financial institutions will be preferred.
  • Post Code – 06: The applicants should be a Graduates in Computer Science B.Sc (Computer Science), BCA, B.Tech / B.E. in Computer Science / IT, M.Sc (Computer Science), MCA with minimum 55% Marks (50% for SC/ST). They must have knowledge MS SQL, Oracle, ASP, JSP, various .Net technologies, Visual Studio, Scripting languages, HTML, XHTML, XML, CSS, Java Servlets, ActiveX controls, etc. They must have minimum 1 year of Post-Qualification experience. Candidates having additional Certification and experience in banks/ financial institutions will be preferred.
  • Post Code – 07: The applicants should have completed B.Tech / B.E in Computer Science / IT / Electronics Engineering / MCA / MCS/ MSC Computer Science with minimum 55% Marks (50% for SC/ST). They must have minimum 5 year of Post-Qualification experience in Information Security. Preference will be given for any of the certifications in ISO Lead Auditor, ITIL, CEH, CH-FI, CCNA, CISA, CISSP or equivalent. Candidates having experience in banks/ financial institutions will be preferred.
  • Post Code – 08: The applicants should have completed B.Tech / B.E in Computer Science / IT / Electronics Engineering / MCA / MCS/ MSC Computer Science with minimum 55% Marks (50% for SC/ST). Candidates should possess relevant certification in PeopleSoft Suite of Oracle in the areas of CRM, Online Marketing, Support & Helpdesk, and CRM Automation & Configuration Rel 9.1. They must have minimum 2 years of Post-Qualification experience in customizing, implementing & supporting the PeopleSoft Suite of Products in the areas of CRM, Online Marketing, Support & Helpdesk, CRM Automation & Configuration Rel 9.1. Candidates having experience in banks/ financial institutions will be preferred.

Application Fee:

  • SC/ ST/ PWD: Rs. 100 only
  • For all others: Rs. 500 only
  • The fee can be remitted through Online Mode only while filing the Online Application Form at the Bank’s website www.bankofmaharashtra.in .
  • The fees can only be remitted through NEFT/ Net Banking
  • No other mode of fee payment will be accepted.

Selection Procedure:

  • The selection will be made on the basis of performance in Written/ Online Test and/ or Group Discussion followed by a Personal Interview.
  • Merit list of the candidates for final selection will be prepared considering the performance of the candidates.
  • The name of the selected candidates will be announced by the bank in due course through successive stages of selection.
  • There will be negative mark of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in the Written/ Online Test

  • The applicant need to submit application online and remit requisite fees through the ONLINE PAYMENT GATEWAY.
  • The candidates need to upload their photograph and signature for final submission of application.
  • The applicant must retain the hard copy of the application and copy of fee payment receipt to be reviewed in subsequent phases of selection
  • Incomplete or wrong information may lead to disqualification of the candidate
  • No other means of application will however be accepted.
