BMRCL/ 82 / ADM/ 2018 /O&M– Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL), Bangalore invites online applications from eligible candidates for recruitment of Maintainer, Section Engineer, and Junior Engineer Vacancies in the Operation and Maintenance Wing of BMRCL. Candidates can apply for any one post only. Selected candidates will have to undergo training wherever required.
Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL), a joint venture of Government of India and Government of Karnataka is a Special Purpose Vehicle entrusted with the responsibility of implementation of Bangalore Metro Rail Project. The details of the vacancies and the criteria of selection are detailed as under:
Maintainer: 134 Vacancies [Residual Parent cadre Posts]
Section Engineer: 19 Vacancies [18 Residual Parent cadre Posts, and 01 Local cadre Posts]
Junior Engineer: 21 Vacancies [16 Residual Parent cadre Posts, and 05 Local cadre Posts]
Selection procedure: The selection will be made strictly on merit, on the basis of written examination. There shall be no negative marking in the written examination. Short listed candidates on the basis of written examination will be called for verification of the original documents and Kannada test followed by Medical Fitness Test.

Qualification:
- Maintainer: The candidate must have completed Matriculation plus two years ITI in any one of the following specific Engineering Trades, such as: Electrician/ Instrument Mechanic/ Mechanic Radio and TV/ Electronics Mechanics/ Wireman/ Fitter/ Mechanic Computer Hardware/ Mechanic –Industrial Electronics/ Information Technology & Electronics System Maintenance/ Mech. Communication Equipment Maintenance, Masonry, Carpentry, Building, Refrigeration and AC Mechanics Mechanic Mechatronics or any equivalent qualification with at least 50% marks.
- Section Engineer: Electrical & Electronics Engineering/ Electronics and Communication Engineering/ Instrumentation & Control Engineering/ Mechanical/ Telecommunication/ Applied Electronics & Instrumentation/ Computer Science/ Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification with at least 50% marks.
- Junior Engineer: Candidates must possess three years Engineering Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering/ Electronics & Communication Engineering/ Electronics Instrumentation & Control/ Mechanical/ Telecommunication/ Computer Science and Engineering/ Computer networking/ Applied Electronics/ Digital Electronics/ Power Electronics/ Industrial Control/ Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification with at least 50% marks.
- Knowledge of Kannada is must for these posts. The candidate should be able to Read, Speak, Understand and Write in Kannada.
Knowledge of Kannada in all the four attributes viz., reading, speaking, writing & understanding, is compulsory for all the posts. Knowledge of Kannada will be tested at the time of document verification.
Upper Age Limit As on 02-Feb-2019: 35 years for general candidates; 38 years for IIa, IIb, IIIa, IIIb category candidates; 40 years for SC/ ST and category 1 candidates; 50 years for ex-serviceman candidates.
Pay Scale-
Maintainer: Rs. 10170 – 18500/- IDA
Section Engineer: Rs. 16000 – 30770/- IDA
Junior Engineer: Rs. 14000 – 26950/- IDA
Application/ Examination Fees:
SC/ST candidates: Rs. 354/- only
For All other candidates: Rs. 826/- only
Net banking/ debit card/ credit card/ (SBI branches) challan
The fee can be remitted in shape of a Fee Payment Challan as available during Online Submission of Application, in any branch of State Bank of India. Those who are making payment at SBI Branches (through Challan) should take a print out of challan and pay the fees at the nearest SBI branch. All SBI branches shall start accepting the challan from 04.01.2019. The last date for payment of application fee by all modes is 04.02.2019.
