Assam Irrigation Department, invites application for recruitment of Junior Assistant, Section Assistant, Power Pump Operator, and Sub Engineer (Civil/ Mechanical) Posts under Irrigation Department. Candidates must have register their name in the employment exchange.

Educational Qualification:
Junior Assistant- Candidates must be passed HSLC or equivalent examination, with Diploma in Typewriting both in English and Assamese. Candidates should have minimum speed of 40 words per minute in English and 30 words per minute in Assamese. Computer knowledge is desirable.
Section Assistant- Candidates must be passed HSLC or equivalent examination.
Power Pump Operator- Candidates must be passed HSLC or equivalent examination, with ITI Trade Certificate in the particular Trade from government recognized Institute.
Sub Engineer (Civil/ Mechanical)- Candidates must have certificate of Draftsmanship in the respective Trade or pass two years Diploma course in respective Trade from a recognized ITI/ Polytechnic/ Engineering Institute.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and Maximum 38 years as on 01-January-2015. Relaxation in upper age limit as per government rules.
Pay Scale:
Junior Assistant- Rs.5200-20200/- + Grade Pay Rs.2200/-
Section Assistant- Rs.5200-20200/- + Grade Pay Rs.2200/-
Power Pump Operator- Rs.5200-20200/- + Grade Pay Rs.2000/-
Sub Engineer (Civil)- Rs.5200-20200/- + Grade Pay Rs.2700/-
Sub Engineer (Mechanical)- Rs.5200-20200/- + Grade Pay Rs.2700/-
Selection Process: Candidates will be selected on the basis of written test of 100 marks, followed by Interview.
