AP Postal Recruitment 2014 For Postmen and Mailguard in Various Districts of The State
Department of Posts, as an important department under the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, has been serving as the lifeline of Indian Communication Network. Even in the age of emails and Mobile Telephony, this Department has not loosen its charm of being one of the most trusted and reputed facilitator of communications in India.
With the recent announcement, the CPMG, Andhra Pradesh is inviting competent applications for filling up the posts of Postman/ Mailguard in various Postal divisions/ RMS offices under AP Postal Circle. The applications are being invited through Online mode.

Mode of Recruitment:
- At present the posts will be filled directly on the basis of performance in the Aptitude Test separately through a merit list for each division.
Pay band:
- The candidates selected for the job positions will receive remunerations in the scale of PB-I (Rs.5200-Rs.20200 and a grade Pay of Rs.2000) along with other perks and remunerations.
Age Requirement:
- The candidates should be in the age group of 18-27 years (by last date for receipt of application form – 18-Aug-2014) to be eligible to apply.
- However, there will be relaxation in upper age limit for SC, ST and PWD candidates from Chhattisgarh State as per rules.
Minimum Educational Qualification:
- The candidates applying for the job position must have completed the minimum standard of Matriculation/ SSC to be eligible to apply
Probation Period:
- The candidates selected for the job positions will serve Chhattisgarh Post for a minimum period of 2 years on Probation.
- The candidates selected for these positions should be willing to serve in Military Postal Service anywhere in India or Abroad.
Examination Fee & Cost of Application:
- Cost of Application: Rs.100 (For all candidates)
- Examination fees: Rs.400
- Woman candidates and SC/ ST/ PWD/ Ex-SM: Examination Fee exempted
- The candidates have to have to pay the prescribed fee mentioned above through “Sunayasam” in any Head Post Office in Andhra Pradesh/ Telangana States listed in the Annexure (with the detailed advertisement at //www.appost.in/downloads/DR%20PM&MG%20online.pdf) .
- The Fee is to be credited under “Sunayasam Head: Postman Recruitment 2014.” at the Post Office.
- Fee paid through any mode other than “Sunayasam” will not be accepted/ refunded.
