As one of the most proficient force of the state to maintain law and order, AP Police is conducting its duties with full strength and commitment. As this state has a long coastal line, the role of Andhra Pradesh Coastal Security Police increases multifold with additional responsibilities of safeguarding the coastal areas of the state. The AP Coastal Security Police, as a marine police patrol has been formed out of the AP State Police and has been introduced with Fast Interceptor Boats (FIBs) for managing its surveillance and operations. At present there are 21 Marine Police Stations manned by the AP Coastal Security Police and they have been adequately equipped to safeguard the marine boundaries of the state.
With the present notification, the Andhra Pradesh Coastal Security Police (APCSP) invites applications from dynamic and enthusiastic Indian Male candidates for appointment to 159 posts of Boat Crew members for operation of its Fast Interceptor Boats (FIBs) of 21 Coastal Security Police Stations on Contract basis.

Note: This recruitment will be only for the Ex- Servicemen (Ex-SM) from Navy, Coast Guard and BSF Water Wing or those having valid certificates in the relevant field issued by the Central or State Inland Water Transport Authority or Mercantile Marine Department (MMD) or any authorized State Port and having requisite experience in seaward operations.
Pay Scale Provisions:
- Master: Consolidated pay of Rs.27000 per month during contractual engagement.
- Sarang/ Navigator: Consolidated pay of Rs.17000 per month during contractual engagement.
- Engine Driver: Consolidated pay of Rs.16000 per month during contractual engagement.
- Kalasi / Seaman / Mechanic: Consolidated pay of Rs.15000 per month during contractual engagement.
Period of Engagement:
- Initial period of contract would be for 01 (one) year. Renewal of contract shall be considered as per the prevailing requirements of the post and satisfactory performance.
Academic Eligibility & Experience:
- Master: The applicant must be a Graduate in any discipline. He should be an Ex-SM from Navy, Coast Guard or BSF Water Wing in the rank of Chief Petty Officer (equivalent ranks from other forces) from the Seaman Branch OR, Ex-SM from Navy, Coast Guard or BSF Water Wing in the rank of Petty Officer (equivalent ranks from other forces) from the Seaman Branch with experience of 5 years as Petty Officer, OR, First Class Masters Certificate issued by Central or State Inland Water Transport Authority or Mercantile Marine Department (MMD) OR, 2nd Class Masters Certificate issued by Central or State Inland Water Transport Authority or Mercantile Marine Department (MMD) with 2 years of experience, OR, Mate FV Competency Certificate issued by MMD with minimum 07 years of service on-board small marine crafts.
- Sarang/Navigator: The applicant must be a Graduate in any discipline. He should be an Ex-SM from Navy, Coast Guard or BSF Water Wing in the rank of Petty Officer (equivalent in other Forces) from the Seaman Branch, OR, an Ex-SM from Navy, Coast Guard or BSF Water Wing in the rank of Leading (equivalent in other Forces) from the Seaman Branch with 7 years of experience, OR, 2nd Class Masters Certificate issued by Central or State Inland Water Transport Authority or Mercantile Marine Department (MMD) OR, Mate FV Competency Certificate issued by MMD with minimum 04 years of service on-board small marine crafts.
- Engine Driver: The applicant must be a Professional Diploma holder in Mechanical/Marine Engineering, OR, a Graduate in any discipline. He should be an Ex-SM from Navy, Coast Guard or BSF Water Wing in the rank of Petty Officer (equivalent in other Forces) from the Marine/ Mechanical Engineering Branch, OR, Ex-SM from Navy, Coast Guard or BSF Water Wing in the rank of Leading (equivalent in other Forces) from the Marine/Mechanical Engineering Branch with minimum 07 years of service in the rank of Leading, OR, First Class Certificate of Engine Driver issued by Central or State Inland Water Transport Authority or Mercantile Marine Department (MMD), OR, 2nd Class Certificate of Engine Driver issued by Central or State Inland Water Transport Authority or MMD with minimum 02 years of service as Engine Driver on small marine crafts, OR, Engine Driver FV Competency Certificate issued by MMD with minimum 07 years of service on-board small marine crafts.
- Khalasi/ Seaman/ Mechanic: The applicant must have passed ITI/ 10+2 with Maths and Science/ Vessel Navigation Trade Certificate from CIFNET under NCVT/ Marine Fitter Trade Certificate from CIFNET under NCVT. He must be an Ex-SM from Navy, Coast Guard or BSF Water Wing in the rank of Leading (equivalent in other Forces) from any branch, OR, Mate FV Competency Certificate issued by MMD, OR, Engine Driver Competency Certificate issued by MMD.
Age Requirement:
- Master: The candidate must not have attained the upper age limit of 45 years as on 01-Jul-2013.
- Sarang / Navigator: The candidate must not have attained the upper age limit of 42 years as on 01-Jul-2013.
- Engine Driver: The candidate must not have attained the upper age limit of 37 years as on 01-Jul-2013.
- Kalasi / Seaman / Mechanic: The candidate must not have attained the upper age limit of 37 years as on 01-Jul-2013.
Physical Standards:
- Height: Minimum 157 cm
- Chest: Minimum 78 cm and with minimum 5 cm expansion
- Others as applicable.
