The State level Police Recruitment Board, Andhra Pradesh is used to conduct the selection procedure for the Police services of the state.
There are numerous post announced by the Police department of Andhra Pradesh. Posts are stipendiary Cadet Trainee Police Constables (Civil/AR/APSP), Fireman and Constable (Special Protection Force). Both men and women can apply for the trainee Police Constable post.
Total Number of Vacancies:
The total vacancies for the post are 6071 including for both men and women.
- Stipendiary Cadet Trainee Police Constables (Civil) (Men) – 2113 vacancies
- Stipendiary Cadet Trainee Police Constables (AR) (Men) – 921 vacancies
- Stipendiary Cadet Trainee Police Constables (APSP) (Men) – 72 vacancies
- Stipendiary Cadet Trainee Police Constables (Civil) (Women) – 2749 vacancies
- Stipendiary Cadet Trainee Police Constables (AR) (Women) – 94 vacancies
- Constables (Men) in Special Protection Force (SPF) Department – 08 vacancies
- Firemen in A.P. Fire & Emergency Services Department – 114 vacancies
Reservations are provided to the desired candidates according to the government policies.
Candidates must submit the application at the respective centres as mentioned in the original notification between 21 January 2013 to 20 January 2013 (only working days).
Interested candidates must be atleast 10+2 passed. Candidates belonging to SC/ST classes must be SSC passed and must have appeared both 1st and 2nd year of intermediate.
All the candidates applying for various above posts must have their age falling between 18 -30 years. Various age relaxations are provided by the authorities as per government notification.
Additionally the candidates needed to fulfil physical standards as prescribed in the notifications.
The pay scale for the cadet trainee constable post and constable post is Rs. 8,440 – 24,950/-. Pay scale for the fireman is Rs. 7,960 – 23,650/-.
The above pay scale will be followed after the trainees complete their training period. They will be getting stipend as fixed by the government.
Application Fee & How to:
The application amount of Rs. 25 is to be paid by the candidates. The mode of payment will be entertained in cash. ST/SC candidates are exempted from the application fee.
The selection procedure includes successive stages like PET (Physical Efficiency Test), Written test. The physical test will include the running, jumping and other relevant tests. The candidates who qualify the PET will be called for the written examination. The syllabus for the written exam is being mentioned in the notification.
Mode of Application:
Mode of application is offline. Candidates have to submit the application by themselves at the respective centre.
