Boilers Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh, to hold Boiler Operation Engineer’s Examination 2016 for the grant of Boiler Operation Engineer’s Certificate.
Boilers Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh, invited applications from the candidates for Boiler Operation Engineers examination under the Boiler Operation Engineers’ Rules, 2011 to be held in February, 2017/ March, 2017. The written Examination will be held at Vijayawada.

Minimum Qualification Required: The candidate should possess a degree or diploma in Mechanical or Electrical or Chemical or Power Plant or Production or Instrumentation Engineering or Instrumentation and Control Engineering from a recognized institution with minimum two years of experience in the operation and/or maintenance of a Boiler in case of Degree holders (Five years in case of Diploma holders).
However, for degree holders or post graduate diploma holders from a National Power Training Institute, requirement of minimum working experience shall be one year.
Age Limit: Minimum 23 years as on 31-October-2016.
Mode of Selection: The candidate will be selected on the basis of written test (There will be three papers of Written Examination in BOILER I, BOILER II AND DRAWING subjects each with a maximum of 100 marks), and Viva (100 marks).
Note: For award of certificate of Proficiency a candidate shall secure at least 45 percent in each written paper as well as Drawing ad oral Examination but the aggregate should not be less than 50 percent.
Examination Fee: Rs.1500/-
The candidates are suggested to pay the examination fee in form of treasury original challan of Rs. 1500/- paid under the Head of Account “ 0230 – Labour and Employment: 103 – fee for Inspection of Steam Boiler; 01- Fee for Inspection of steam Boilers.” & under DDO code 2700- 1505-001 in any of the Treasuries in the Districts of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur, Prakasam, SPSR Nellore, Chittoor, YSR Kadapa, Kurnool and Anantapuram of Andhra Pradesh State.
